What do Tyler Perry and Bad Boy have in common? They both won’t stop no matter how much we plead.

This is real. As released by Lionsgate.

Say whaaaaat? (And if Madea’s the real black swan, how come she’s in whiteface?)

#iCant - Madea is… The Real Black Swan.

Nightmares. A face only Oprah can love.

2. Don’t read Ntozake Shange’s play before you see the movie. This is not her play. This is something else. Something different. You know how Starbursts have real fruit juice in them but it isn’t fruit? Think of [Tyler Perry’s] For Colored Girls as Starbursts and FCGWHCSWRiE as fruit. This makes sense, trust me.

Comedy and stereotypes go hand in hand…That’s why intellectuals have a hard time with humor

~Nelson George

Author, filmmaker, producer and critic.

I guess this is kinda true but I still have my reservations…about both the stereotype and intellectual part.

Alot of comedy breaks stereotypes.  Some comedians could be considered intellectuals. But I bet Nelson George only meant this statment in context of this article about Tyler Perry/Madea so I won’t take it too seriously.  I do think that alot of higher educated types are more likely to be offended by alot of things though…

Any thoughts?
