Shout out to the good folks over at Creative Loafing for profiling me as their ATL Comic of the week.  Pretty cool all the love I’ve been getting from folks since this went up.  All very humbling and much appreciated!

GPOYW: Telling jokes edition

Celeste Echols of Aviditiy Photography has been ripping up the comedy scene here in Atlanta taking photos at alot of shows, several nights out of the week. The girl definitely gets it in so it was only a matter of time before she caught yours truly.  These were taken last week at one of my favorite places, Relapse Theater, at the Remiked UnMiked Open Mic show.

Anyway, if you have an event coming up, look Celeste up. She’s good for it.

Too bad everybody waited til Michael was white to tell him he looked good black.  Imagine if enough people told him his nose was cute.  Game changer.  Michael might’ve been Prince today. Tell somebody they’re beatiful or a surgeon will later, lol

Stupidridiculous went for the Pog throwback earlier which inspired me to dig through my room to find some of my own.
For reasons I can’t remember skulls & ying yangs were very popular back then or I liked them alot cuz I found alot in my collection…along w/ alot of splattered bugs.  Anybody else got pogs layin around? haha

Missed Opportunities,

simplybasic:

There are a million quotes and saying about opportunity and risk. In order to gain something, you have to take a chance.  Otherwise, you’ll never get anywhere.  Every person you meet is a potential something—friend, lover, confidant, partner in crime, or that long-lost sister or brother that fate forgot to give you. It’s rather daunting to think about it; there’s potential in every chance meeting, in every casual acquaintance, in every little accident that life throws your way. The trouble is, if you’re not paying attention, you might miss what might’ve been. You might miss a connection, an opportunity, a possible something.

People always says you can’t lose what you never had, but I think I’m inclined to disagree.  If any opportunity isn’t seized, it is still lost. You’ve lost that potential, that maybe, that experience that might’ve been. So, yes, it’s not exactly like losing your keys.  Instead, it’s like losing the phone number of someone you like, but never had the chance to call.  It was there, in your grasp—that maybe—and now, it’s not.

Can we ever get back to that place? That place where something is possible?  It depends, really, on the situation, the players, and a myriad of circumstance.  Things change, people change, lives change. So, you might get a second chance (or a third, or a fourth), but it’s the first chance. It’s a new one; it’s different.

It could also mean we’re missing out on potential stalkers but the way you look at it sounds alot better than me.

Are you married yet? Why not? If you’re having trouble finding a wife come to Nigeria and I will find one for you!
