It is only after the deepest darkness that the greatest light can come; it is only after extreme grief that the greatest joy can come; it is only after slavery and prison that the greatest appreciation of freedom can come.

In a stunning indictment of sweeping policy changes during the Bush years, best-selling author Naomi Wolf (The Beauty Myth) makes a chilling case that American democracy is under threat. Investigating parallels between our current situation and the rise of dictators and fascism in once-free societies, Wolf uncovers a number of deeply unsettling similarities-from the use of paramilitary groups and secret prisons to the targeted suspension of the rule of law. With this galvanizing call to arms based on her recent book, she urges regular citizens to take back our legacy of freedom and justice.
OMG, this is so serious
MUST SEE PC!
Best hour of video I’ve watched in a very long time.
A chilling title for a chilling film. Not the fall of our country but the the end of our civil liberties as we know them. WATCH
Didn’t think I’d watch the whole thing but once I started… Can’t help but wonder, in a “new govt” w/ this kind of power to subvert the law (thanks to its predecessor), wouldn’t a popular president be the perfect candidate to sweep a massive disregard for the freedom of its citizens under the rug…w/ a smile on its face even?
