*Performing with Godfrey this Friday and Sunday at the Laughing Skull Lounge here in Atlanta and am low key, geeky excited.  I remember back in 2002, I had just come back to the States after graduating from High School in Nigeria and saw this dude on TV talking about Nigerians and he had me howling. Get outta here!” lol After seeing Godfrey I got up the next day and bought my first joke book where I recorded every funny thought I had there after.  I still didn’t gather the courage to actually get on stage and tell jokes to a live audience until a few years later but that night in my living room was a pivotal moment for me.  It’s funny how that happens though, I always loved and wanted to try stand up comedy since I was 11 but thought it was way too far fetched to even attempt until seeing someone similar to me on TV doing it.  And now I get to perform with Godfrey this weekend.  So it’s a childhood fulfillment of sorts.  And if he turns out to be an asshole we’ll just forget I ever wrote this. *Click the picture for tickets.
