alicewonder: [ via amal ] Wow, I’ve been thinking something like this for the past month and this puts my random thoughts into words. When I think of being a wolf I think of going out almost every night in the pursuit of laughs, getting my biz ventures off the ground and out of my head and the cost that comes with those pursuits- little time for others. When I think of being a sheep I think of getting a masters or phd in my undergrad degree (chemistry), and the accompanying pay increase that comes with that, having a stable schedule on the way to finding a stable women who I’ll produce stable kids with. I’m not saying that starting a family is a sheepish venture in anyway (on the contrary the dedication to love, commitment and discipline it takes to keep a famiily unit together is an amazing wonder of the world), but theres so many voices in my life telling me to take a more traditional route in life (and when I say traditional, I mean my Nigerian roots traditional) and to ignore all the dreams floating around my head.  To ignore something I have a calling for, that’s a sheepish venture. Ok, I’ll just say, I like this quote and it makes me think.
